Hi there! Nice to meet you.

As Unmellow Collective's younger (and nerdier) Glaswegian sister, Unmellow Movies shares the same dedication to inclusivity within the arts as it's North-Eastern sibling, exhibiting a shared commitment to the creation of a safe space for film-lovers and creatives from all walks of life. Our objective is inherently to support local filmmakers in the exhibition and promotion of their work without prejudice, as well as producing new and exciting cinema events for the next generation of film fans. Unmellow Movies was started by Unmellow Collective co-founder Heather Bradshaw and film programmer Rosie Beattie, after meeting during studying for their Film Curation MSc at the University of Glasgow. The idea for Unmellow Movies came from a mutual love of innovative and subversive cinema curation, alongside a passion for Scottish filmmaking and the Glaswegian exhibition scene.
